Mya Lesnar is a 24-year-old American shot putter, a two-time NCAA champion, and the daughter of WWE and UFC star Brock Lesnar. Fans often search for her height and weight first. The honest answer is that neither number is officially confirmed.
This guide gives you the verified facts, the commonly listed estimates, and the corrections to several myths floating around online. It was last updated in October 2026.
Who Is Mya Lesnar?
Mya Lynn Lesnar is an American track and field athlete who specializes in the shot put. She also throws the weight, hammer and discus. She was born on April 10, 2002, and grew up in Alexandria, Minnesota.
She is best known for these achievements:
- 2024 NCAA Indoor shot put champion
- 2025 NCAA Outdoor shot put champion
- Colorado State record holder in the shot put
- Graduate of Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in social work
Her last name draws attention. Her results explain why people keep following her.
Mya Lesnar Height and Weight
Shot putters rely on leverage and power. That is why fans pay so much attention to her size. The figures below come from public listings, not official team data.
How Tall Is Mya Lesnar?
Most sources list Mya Lesnar at 5 ft 9 in, or about 175 cm. A few fan sites round her up to 6 ft. Others claim 5 ft 3 in, which does not match photos or her event.
Colorado State’s roster page does not show a height. Mya has also not shared an exact number publicly. A safe range is 5 ft 9 in to 6 ft.
Height helps in the shot put because a taller thrower can release the shot from a higher point. That gives the throw more time and distance.
Mya Lesnar’s Weight and Build
Public estimates put her weight near 175 lb (79 kg). Some pages claim 136 lb, while others say 90 kg or more. These numbers cannot all be right, and none is confirmed.
Her build is that of a strength athlete. She has broad shoulders, strong legs and explosive hips. Her competition weight likely changes with training cycles.
Why the numbers vary:
- Colleges rarely publish weights for female athletes.
- Fan sites copy each other’s guesses.
- Training phases change body weight.
Physical Comparison to Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar is listed at about 6 ft 3 in. His listed weight has ranged from the 260s to the 280s in pounds, depending on the era.

Mya Lesnar Age and Early Life
Mya Lesnar was born on April 10, 2002. As of October 2026, she is 24 years old.
She attended Alexandria Area High School in Minnesota. In April 2019, she set a Central Lakes Conference indoor meet record in the shot put. That early result showed she had real talent before college.
Her path was not built on her father’s fame. She trained in school programs, competed at local meets and earned her college spots through results.
Mya Lesnar Athletics Career
Her college career had two stops and one clear turning point.
Starting Out at Arizona State University
Mya spent her freshman and sophomore years at Arizona State University. She competed for the Sun Devils and built her base in the throws. Her best outdoor shot put there was about 16.74 m.
She left after the 2021 to 2022 school year.
The Transfer to Colorado State
Mya transferred to Colorado State University and began working with throws coach Brian Bedard. Her results rose quickly.
- February 2023: She won the weight throw at the Mountain West Indoor Championships with a 20.68 m throw.
- December 2023: She set a new school record in the shot put with 18.50 m. The old record was 17.55 m.
- February 2024: She hit 19.10 m in the shot put and 22.06 m in the weight throw at the Mountain West meet.
Coach Bedard has been a constant name in her success. She credited him after her 2025 national title.
2024 Paris Olympics Appearance: What Really Happened
Mya Lesnar did not compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics. This is one of the most repeated errors online.
Here is the real story:
- She qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene after a strong NCAA West Regional.
- Only the top three finishers earned Olympic spots.
- Sportskeeda reported she placed 12th, so she missed the team.
The confusion likely comes from her 62 ft 4.5 in throw. That mark was her 2025 NCAA title throw, not an Olympic result. Her 2025 best of 19.60 m (about 64 ft 3.75 in) would have been strong in the Paris final. She has not yet competed at the Olympics.
Mya Lesnar Shot Put Achievements
Her record list is long for a college thrower. It also shows steady growth.

Brock Lesnar’s Influence
Brock Lesnar won an NCAA heavyweight wrestling title in 2000 at the University of Minnesota. He then became a WWE champion and a UFC heavyweight champion. He has shown up at her meets, including the NCAA Indoor Championships.
Mya has said the biggest lesson from her father is not to let trophies change who you are. That idea fits how she speaks about her wins.
Nicole McClain’s Background
Nicole McClain keeps a low public profile. Reliable details about her career or life are limited. Be careful with pages that claim more, because many are not sourced.
